Hmmmm...
When a candle burns slowly, you always know that no matter how many times you blow it out, it'll always be there when you need it. When a candle burns too quickly, you bask in the flame it creates and then it burns itSELF out.
It's a shame on the one hand, and a comforting thought on the other.
Goodnight folks.

Isn't there a wedding ritual (I believe it's Chinese) in which a two-wicked candle is lit at the ceremony indicating that the two have become one?
Then again, isn't that burning a candle at both ends?
Hmm, I don't know. I think that's a good idea. My sentiment was more along the lines of grades of love and union. Meaning, that there are such things as relationships where you love intensely and then it fades for some reason. Then there are loves where you know it's the real deal. It survives the usual BS cause it had time to burn slowly, ruminate, simmer, etc.
Burning the candle at both ends is dangerous. Eventually there is nothing left to hold onto and you will get burned.
